As a singer, I began in church choir as a youth, did musical theatre as a teenager, then in my 20’s tried the blues and R&B during my years in New Orleans. It has been this eclectic mix of styles, along with my love of bizarre or creepy songs, that earned me extraordinary reviews while driving audiences into cheering frenzies in such cabaret venues as Danny’s, The Metropolitan, and Don’t Tell Mama’s in NYC; Odette’s, Bob Egan’s Cabaret Club, and Cosmopolitan Club in New Hope, PA; Off-Broad Street in Hopewell, NJ; Stockton Inn in Stockton, NJ; Salt Creek Grille in Princeton, NJ; and McLoone’s Supper Club in Asbury Park, NJ. I’ve also fronted a number of bands, and free-lanced with a number of pianists. I owe an enormous debt as a teacher, performer, director and person to my mentor, the late, great Uta Hagen. Much of my acting philosophy is borrowed from her principles.
